HUMAN SOLIDARITY DAY CELEBRATION

In the United Nations Millennium Declaration, 189 world leaders accepted solidarity as one of the most important values essential to international relations in the 21st century.

Thus, the UN General Assembly proclaimed 20 December as International Human Solidarity Day.

On this day we aimed at developing a culture of solidarity and a spirit of sharing in order to achieve social justice and combat poverty. We discussed such themes as justice, solidarity, human society, sustainable future, etc.

A CHRISTMAS FAIRY-TALE

Human rights for all!!!

One of the most touching and unforgettable events for the senior students of our gymnasium was “Christmas Fairy-Tale”. They took part in a charitable event for physically and mentally disadvantaged children. Brandina Klavdiya (a member of the teaching staff) together with the students from forms 10A, 11B organized a festive concert “A Christmas Fairy-tale” for the children.

Human rights for all!!!

 

The UN General Assembly proclaimed 10 December as Human Rights Day in 1948, to bring to the attention ‘of the peoples of the world’ the Universal Declaration of Human Rights as the common standard of achievement for all peoples and all nations.

The major idea of this day is that “each one of us, everywhere, at all times is entitled to the full range of human rights, that human rights belong equally to each of us and bind us together as a global community with the same ideals and values”. Unfortunately, the world community witnesses that today human rights violations still exist.

UNIVERSAL CHILDREN’S DAY & WORLD PHILOSOPHY DAY CELEBRATION

 

 

On 20 October the international community celebrates Universal Children’s Day and World Philosophy Day. And the staff together with the pupils of our gymnasium can’t but participate in such a significant event.

The major goal of Universal Children’s Day celebration is promoting the welfare of children, their rights, self-realization and, moreover, development of cooperation and understanding between the children of the Earth.
